Service descriptions on this website do not guarantee eligibility, acceptance, approval, availability, coverage, benefits, tax results, financial results, transportation availability, or any other particular outcome. Service-specific documents will control when they provide more detailed or different terms.

1. Business Identity and Administrative Role

BETAS Firm LLC, doing business as Best Emerald’s Tax & Advisory Services, is an independent Alaska business located in Kodiak, Alaska.

The BETAS Firm website serves as a general business website for multiple service categories. Depending on the service, BETAS Firm may provide the service directly, provide administrative or document support, coordinate scheduling, or connect the client with an appropriately licensed, certified, appointed, or authorized professional or platform.

When a service requires an individual professional license, certification, carrier appointment, government authorization, or separate contractual relationship, that service is performed under the applicable individual credentials, appointments, agreements, and regulatory requirements.

BETAS Firm may provide website, scheduling, intake, communication, document-handling, and other administrative support. Providing this administrative support does not make BETAS Firm an insurance carrier, Medicare or Medicaid plan, government agency, law firm, broker-dealer, registered investment adviser, healthcare provider, or guarantor of another organization’s products or decisions.

Additional disclosures concerning each service category are provided below.

2. Tax, Tax Planning, and Bookkeeping Disclosures

Tax preparation, tax planning, advisory, bookkeeping, payroll-support, and related services are governed by a separate engagement letter or service agreement that defines the scope of work, responsibilities, fees, deadlines, and applicable limitations.

Clients are responsible for providing complete, accurate, and timely information and documents. Clients must review their returns, reports, elections, and other filings before authorizing submission. The taxpayer remains legally responsible for the information reported on a tax return, even when a paid preparer assists with its preparation.

Tax estimates, projections, planning illustrations, and potential savings are based on information available at the time of the analysis. Actual results may differ because of incomplete or changed facts, client implementation, future income or expenses, changes in law, agency interpretation, examinations, adjustments, penalties, interest, or other circumstances.

BETAS Firm does not guarantee a refund, tax savings, credit, deduction, filing position, audit result, agency decision, or elimination of a tax liability. Final determinations are made by the Internal Revenue Service, applicable state or local taxing authority, court, or other authorized agency.

Tax representation or communication with a taxing authority is provided only when separately accepted in writing and supported by the required professional credentials and client authorization. Tax-return preparation does not automatically include audit representation, notice response, collections assistance, appeals, legal representation, or services for another tax year or entity.

Unless expressly stated in a written agreement, bookkeeping and payroll-support services do not constitute an audit, review, compilation, attestation, fraud examination, legal opinion, or assurance that records are complete, accurate, compliant, or free from fraud or error.

3. Document Preparation, Government Applications, Immigration Assistance, and Notary Services

Document-preparation and application-assistance services are limited to lawful administrative and clerical support. Depending on the service, assistance may include typing information provided by the client, organizing documents, providing publicly available forms or agency instructions, scheduling appointments, and helping transmit completed materials as authorized.

BETAS Firm is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or legal representation. Administrative assistance does not include selecting a legal strategy, interpreting a person’s legal rights, predicting a legal outcome, or representing a person before a court, immigration authority, or government agency.

Immigration-related document assistance is limited to nonlegal administrative support. Unless a separately identified licensed attorney or Department of Justice-accredited representative is formally engaged, BETAS Firm does not provide immigration legal advice or representation before USCIS, the Department of Homeland Security, the Executive Office for Immigration Review, or another immigration authority.

Clients are responsible for reviewing all forms and documents, confirming that information is accurate and complete, signing where required, paying applicable government fees, meeting deadlines, and responding to agency requests. Approval, eligibility, processing time, and final decisions are determined exclusively by the applicable government agency.

Notary services are performed by an individually commissioned Alaska notary acting as an impartial witness. When acting as a notary, the notary does not provide legal advice, choose a notarial certificate for the signer, or assist with drafting, selecting, completing, or understanding a document requiring a notarial act, except as permitted by Alaska law.

Notarization verifies only the matters included in the applicable notarial certificate. It does not establish that a document is truthful, legally sufficient, valid, enforceable, or appropriate for the signer’s intended purpose. Any notary fee will be disclosed before the notarial act.

4. Insurance and Annuity Disclosures

All insurance and annuity services, recommendations, applications, and licensed insurance activities described on this website are provided solely by Shevamae Butler in her individual capacity as an independent licensed insurance producer. These activities are conducted under her individual insurance licenses, applicable carrier appointments, and the requirements of each state in which services are offered. They are not provided by BETAS Firm.

BETAS Firm’s role is limited to providing website, scheduling, communication, intake, document-transmission, and other administrative support. BETAS Firm is not an insurance producer or insurance carrier and does not recommend, underwrite, issue, administer, approve, or guarantee any insurance policy, annuity contract, premium, benefit, claim, rate, illustration, or carrier decision.

Shevamae Butler is responsible for conducting insurance-related activities within the scope of her active licenses, carrier appointments, training, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Insurance and annuity products and services are available only in jurisdictions where Shevamae Butler holds the required license and applicable carrier appointment. Availability may vary based on:

Submitting an inquiry, scheduling an appointment, requesting a quote, or completing an application does not create insurance coverage. Coverage begins only after the applicable insurance carrier approves and issues the policy or contract and all required conditions, signatures, and payments have been completed.

Insurance illustrations may contain both guaranteed and nonguaranteed values. Actual policy performance, premiums, cash values, credited interest, benefits, and other results may differ from an illustration. Guarantees are subject to the terms of the applicable policy or contract and the claims-paying ability of the issuing insurance company.

Insurance and annuity products are not bank deposits and are not insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) or National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). They are not guaranteed by BETAS Firm, any bank, credit union, or government agency.

As the licensed insurance producer, Shevamae Butler may receive commissions or other compensation from an insurance carrier or distribution organization when a policy or contract is issued. Compensation may vary by product and carrier. Clients are not required to purchase an insurance or annuity product from Shevamae Butler to use unrelated BETAS Firm services.

Shevamae Butler’s current insurance license information may be requested directly or verified through the appropriate state insurance department.

5. Medicare Disclosures

Medicare-related education and plan assistance are provided separately by Shevamae Butler, an independent licensed insurance producer, only where all required licenses, annual Medicare certifications, carrier contracts, and appointments are active. BETAS Firm provides website, scheduling, communication, and administrative support.

BETAS Firm and Shevamae Butler are not Medicare, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Social Security Administration, or any other government agency and are not affiliated with or endorsed by the government.

Medicare eligibility, enrollment, coverage, benefits, costs, and plan availability are determined by Medicare, the applicable insurance carrier or plan sponsor, and governing program requirements. Information provided through this website is educational and is not an official Medicare eligibility or coverage determination.

Plan availability varies by service area, eligibility, enrollment period, carrier contracts, certifications, and active appointments. A licensed agent may discuss only the plans and carriers the agent is properly authorized to represent.

BETAS Firm is not Medicaid, a state Medicaid agency, or any government agency and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any government agency. We do not determine eligibility, approve applications, establish benefits, or guarantee enrollment, coverage, approval, processing time, or any particular result.

All eligibility and benefit decisions are made exclusively by the appropriate government agency under applicable program requirements. Applicants remain responsible for providing complete, truthful, and accurate information and for reporting changes required by the administering agency.

Our assistance is limited to application and document support and does not constitute legal, medical, or government-benefits advice. Clients may contact their state Medicaid agency directly for official eligibility and enrollment information.

7. Financial Wellness and Educational Information

Financial wellness information provided through this website, workshops, consultations, calculators, illustrations, or other materials is offered for general educational purposes. Passengers must provide accurate pickup and destination information, be ready at the agreed time, follow reasonable driver safety instructions, and comply with applicable seat-belt and child-restraint requirements. A driver may refuse or discontinue a trip when reasonably necessary to protect passenger, driver, vehicle, or public safety.

Rates, waiting-time charges, cancellation terms, service-area charges, deposits, and payment requirements will be disclosed through the applicable booking page, estimate, agreement, posted rate, or taximeter, as appropriate. Corporate transportation, tours, commuter programs, and other special services may be subject to separate written terms.

Scheduling or requesting transportation does not guarantee a ride until the request is accepted or confirmed. BETAS Firm does not guarantee arrival by a particular flight, ferry, appointment, event, or other deadline, and passengers should allow adequate travel time.

BETAS Firm may use or provide links to independent third-party platforms and service providers for appointment scheduling, tax preparation, insurance applications and Medicare plan-enrollment requests, carrier services, payments, electronic signatures, document delivery, communications, and other business functions.

These organizations operate under their own terms, privacy policies, security practices, eligibility requirements, and service procedures. BETAS Firm does not control their independent systems, underwriting decisions, eligibility determinations, processing times, product availability, approvals, denials, interruptions, or changes to their services.

A link, referral, introduction, or administrative connection to another organization does not necessarily constitute an endorsement, partnership, joint venture, agency relationship, or guarantee of that organization’s services unless the relationship is expressly stated in writing.

Clients should review the applicable provider’s agreements, privacy notices, disclosures, fees, and service terms before submitting information or completing a transaction. Questions concerning a third party’s decision, account, platform, product, or service may need to be directed to that organization.

10. Establishment and Scope of a Client Relationship

Each engagement is limited to the services identified in the applicable agreement or written confirmation. Engagement for one service does not automatically include any other tax, bookkeeping, insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, transportation, legal, or document-support service.
